Prayer

Ever since I was born-again in 2003, I have been praying. However, whenever I receive answers to my prayers… my mom always chimes in with “I was praying for that too…”

She takes God’s credit and praise.

So most recently, I said “, but you did not pray out loud.” She immediately confessed and said “so? It doesn’t matter.” However, it actually DOES matter according to the Bible you cannot say one thing then do another, so if she was speaking any Truth she would know that you must pray aloud, for God to answer you. He is not your little buddy, a bubble boy, in a world controlled by his mom, some sort of genie in a bottle. Jesus’ own mother, Mary, was actually an unbeliever until he went to the cross.

Most people would say that it does matter what you say and do. You cannot say one thing, then do another. If you are silent with God, he will not speak to you. You must prostrate yourself before the Lord for him to have a personal relationship with you. My prayers count. My Church makes a difference. We are not idle Christians. We are on the front lines. Spiritual warfare must include Jesus, or you are going around in circles or treading water with a very deep abyss. I do not consult mediums of the dead. That is necromancy, which is forbidden in the Old Testament.

Deuteronomy 18:11

11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead.

However. it is not expressly stated in the New Testament that it is forbidden for Christians. In fact, it may even be encouraged… with the 3rd person of the Trinity God-head is the Holy Ghost, or Holy Spirit. Us believers, however, do NOT have demons for which we consult. We must consult God, and then the angels will minister to us. Every word spoken by an angel must conform to the Word of God. Or it is a lying spirit, do not forget that Satan is the most powerful Angel ever created. But He is NO MATCH for God, who is NOT a created being!
