What images can an $18 digital camera produce?

A long time ago I purchased a cheap digital camera from Wal-Mart for $18. It was a Vivitar Vivicam F128. It runs on standard AAA batteries, takes most SD cards, and even has a tripod mount. While I was traveling through Tennessee and Kentucky I brought this camera everywhere I went and managed to capture some pretty nice images. No, the quality isn’t the best, but it sort of reminded me of film cameras. Here are some of the shots.

After shooting much more expensive cameras, today I decided to take the old Vivitar for a spin around my yard to see what I could capture. The results were surprising.
